Zayn Malik Drops Off One Direction Tour Due To 'Stress'

Zayn Malik has dropped off One Direction's current world tour.

"Zayn has been signed off with stress and is flying back to the UK to recuperate," the band's publicist, Simon Jones, said in a statement. "The band wish him well and will continue with their performances in Manila and Jakarta."

The news comes after tabloids showed pics of Malik with a girl that wasn't his fiancee. While Malik has denied any wrongdoing, it is possible the negative attention is weighing on him.

The U.K's Mirror reports that Malik hopes to rejoin the band on tour for their South Africa date on March 28; currently, none of the band members have given any individual statements on Twitter.
