Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger Are Still Together After Denying Split Rumors

Chad Kroeger has dismissed rumors that him and Avril Lavigne have split up.

"Sometimes it's funny," the singer told Canadian entertainment show eTalk. "When you're standing in the checkout line at the grocery store and you look over and it's your face on there. Not the … Kardashians … and Brangelinas … it's 'Chavril,' " he said with a laugh. "You're like, 'Can I buy all these? So that no one can see?' "

But sometimes, he says, it's less hilarious. "My family members hear this stuff … and then they call me up very concerned."

It's a sentiment he also shared with ET Canada. “You know my dad calls me up and he's just like, 'I haven’t slept in 2 days, what's going on?' I'm like, 'Dad you're not buying all this crap are you?' You know, I get to hear all the rumor mill stuff. I find it very amusing."

He added that perhaps it was time to switch up the gossip a bit.

"Let's start a new rumor," he said. "I'm pregnant!"

Kroeger and Lavigne, both Canadian, married in the South of France in July 2013 on Canada Day. They also collaborated on "Let Me Go" off Lavigne's 2013 album release.
