Ed Sheeran Grants Fan's Dying Wish: Serenades Her To Sleep Before Passing

Ed Sheeran granted a young fan's dying wish of receiving a phone call from the singer, just minutes before she passed away yesterday.

Triona Priestley, a 15-year old fan from Dublin who was in the final stage of Cystic Fibrosis, revealed her last wish was to receive a phone call from the "Lego House" singer.

According to a blog post by a friend of Triona, she hoped to see Ed on tour later this year but listened to his music to cope with her illness.

A Twitter campaign started on Sunday with the hashtag #SongForTri that trended and caught Ed's attention. Triona’s brother, Colm, revealed that Sheeran and Triona shared a moment on the phone and sang Triona to sleep. She passed away just minutes after the call.
