Lady Gaga Confirms She Will Perform In Outer Space In 2015

Lady Gaga has confirmed that she will be the first recording artist to perform in outer space in early 2015.

During her artRave presentation at Brooklyn Navy Yard in New York City, Gaga explained to reporters how she secured a ticket on Virgin Galactic to travel to space.

"I did not buy a ticket. No my ticket was given to me. I was asked specifically to sing," she said. "So I'm going to be the first recording artist to sing in space. And I did not purchase my flight. This is a special festival event held by Zero G Colony and I will be flying to space two months after the first commercial flights take off."

As for her thoughts about performing in zero gravity? "I have to check out the specs," she said, "and I'll let you know."
