ATP! Presents: Nothing Cool Rhymes With Mindy (September 2013)
Can we all just reflect on the *Nsync Reunion at the VMA's? I think there should have been a 1-800 number at the bottom of the screen during their performance in case you fainted and couldn't get up. (I could have used it.)
Hello Sweaters. Hello Scarves. Hello lattes. Anyone else pumped for Fall? I've been waiting for it ever since it left us last year. Let's be honest, the weather is so unpredictable these days. But if we all just send our wishful-chilly-weather-vibes to Criss Angel telepathically, he'll collect them in a chic-rhinestoned-gothic bubble and pass them along to the atmosphere... and boom, we'll have Fall. I think that's how Seasons change, right? Did I lose you? Anyway, here comes falling leaves, and boots, and spiced scents everywhere, and pumpkin everything. I hope you're ready. In the meantime, let's jump into my favorites this month.
Favorite Things of September:
Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps
With the word "magic" in the name, of course I was interested. Dr. Bronner's products are a breath of fresh air. They literally make you feel renewed and alive again (but no, it doesn't work on zombies). All of the products are certified Fair-trade, never tested on animals, and include all-natural oils and ingredients. I bet you didn't know how dangerous most soaps and lotions can be. I received some "Peppermint Liquid Soap" from a friend (Thanks Chris!) and had no idea how crazy Dr. Bronner's was about to rock my world. The bottle label can be a little overwhelming if you try to read it all, but I think it's cool how they take pride in what they believe and having fun with their labeling. I am very anxious to try some of their other products. You can find them at Target, Whole Foods, other natural stores, and online! http://www.drbronner.com/
Black Milk Clothing's HARRY POTTER COLLECTION
You read that right. One of my most favorite clothing companies EVER, Black Milk Clothing, is releasing a HARRY POTTER COLLECTION soon! If you know me, you know my love for fun, creative fashion. If you know me, you know my obsession with Harry Potter. This calls for a celebration. I mean like Butterbeers on Butterbeers. If you don't own anything from Black Milk yet, you're missing out. They make some of the most comfortable, flattering pieces I own. I've even seen guys rocking the stuff! (ahem... Steve Aoki!) Plus if you're a total weirdo and don't love Harry Potter, they also have a Star Wars, Lord of The Rings, Sesame Street collection, and more! WHEN: On September 10th, Black Milk will release their Harry Potter Collection full of House Quidditch Uniforms, Deathly Hallows and House printed leggings, Hogwarts and Deathly Hallows Swimwear, and more. Who's with me to be first line?? I want everything! I feel like it's only right that J.K. Rowling rocks some of these leggings.
Go check out the sneak peeks here: http://www.facebook.com/blackmilkclothing and purchase the collection on September 10th here: blackmilkclothing.com.

MyChelle Dermaceuticals
A change in Seasons can be brutal for skin and body. Allergies, dryness, redness, oiliness, and more can all develop from changes in the weather. It's just as important to put the right stuff ONTO your skin as well as what you put into it. MyChelle Products are all-natural, non-toxic, eco-friendly, and a lot of them are vegan/vegetarian. I am obsessed with MyChelle products! I use a lot of MyChelle products, but my favorite is their Pumpkin Renewal Cream. I first tried it because 1. I needed a good face cream that wouldn't trouble my skin and 2. I LOVE everything pumpkin. It's an amazing lightweight, wonderful smelling, hydrating face cream that protects cellular health and maintains hydration. It leaves your skin silky smooth, and feeling brand new. Note: Their products may be a little more expensive than some you're used to buying, but know that they are WAY better for you, free of harsh chemicals, have natural vitamins/ingredients for actual skin-renewing, and they last longer! I love everything this company makes and I suggest you check them out. They're available at Whole Foods Markets, Natural Heath Stores, and online: http://www.mychelle.com.
Vigilant Eats Superfood Cereal
Man, oh man. If you travel, have little or no time to eat, or just love amazing food... this is for you! I discovered Vigilant Eats one time on tour when one of my best friends (and pretty much personal nutritionist), Courtney Swan, brought me a "tour-care-package" like the sweet girl she is. It was filled with goodies and one was the Goji Cacao Vigilant Eats Cereal. I was veeeery skeptical about some oats from a cup that suggested only being made with cold water. Needless to say, I was SO shocked at how amazing they were. I mean, I was super bummed when they were gone. But not so bummed because I was totally full. What I loved about Vigilant Eats, besides how quick, easy, and delicious they were, is that they're all vegan, gluten-free, all-organic, all-natural ingredients, and low on the glycemic index...so no sugar crashing afterwards. Seriously, order some of these ASAP or maybe even find them at your local Whole Foods/Natural stores! http://www.vigilant-eats.com/products.
