ATP! Presents: Brittany Has An Appetite (November 14th, 2012)
Anyone who follows drummer Brittany Harrell (@brittanyharrell) of Georgia's pop-punk outfit, Veara on Twitter would know that her account is comprised of talk about WWE, music and things 99% food related. With that said, we invited Brittany to be a part of the Alter The Press team where each week, she will be writing a weekly blog talking about the best meals she has consumed and letting the world know about her love of food!
If I could describe buffalo chicken in 1 word it would be "amazing". Chicken with buffalo sauce (whether it be wings, fingers, nuggets, etc) is definitely one of my favorite meals to indulge in.
Down here in the South we have a chicken chain called "Zaxby's". They're known for their chicken fingers and all things chicken. They have everything from chicken fingers, to chicken "zalads", chicken sandwiches, wings, etc. And you can't leave out their crinkle fries. One of my favorite fast food french fries in the game!
Ive had just about everything on the menu. One of my favorites from Zaxby's is the "Kickin' Chicken" Sandwich. And it is just that.... Kickin' for sure!
The sandwich comes on their famous Texas Toast and has 3 of their fried chicken tenders then it is topped with their ranch sauce and "Tongue Torch" buffalo sauce. (This is their 'hot' buffalo sauce). If you get the meal (which of course I did!) that comes with their crinkle fries and a drink.
As I mentioned at the beginning I love me some buffalo chicken. This is pretty much a buffalo chicken sandwich which rules in my opinion! The Texas Toast is always fresh and of course the chicken tenders are fried to perfection and very juicy. Topping this bad boy off with ranch and buffalo sauce is definitely the icing on the cake :) The sandwich is so friggin' amazing. I find myself trying to slow down when eating it because if not, I would woof this sandwich down in a few seconds. It's that good! When I order this sandwich I always get a side of their "Zax" sauce and a side of ranch sauce to dip my fries and any other item I have in. The Zax sauce is their own creation of sauce that they serve with the chicken finger dishes. This sauce is AWESOME. Im not really sure how to describe it. It's really something that you need to try for yourself so that you can experience its awesome-ness. You'll probably find yourself dipping all of your items in it as well :)
The crinkle fries, as I mentioned them being one of my favorite fast food fries, are off the chain! They're crispy and then they top them off with a seasoning salt. They are so good! Everything you could want out of a fry for sure. It's also a bonus that crinkle fries are one of my favorite types of fry.
Next time you're in the south and see a Zaxby's, do yourself a favor and stop in a get some good chicken. You can't go wrong with whatever you order here. It's all good!
