ATP! Presents: Brittany Has An Appetite (August 1st, 2012)
Anyone who follows drummer Brittany Harrell (@brittanyharrell) of Georgia's pop-punk outfit, Veara on Twitter would know that her account is comprised of talk about WWE, music and things 99% food related. With that said, we invited Brittany to be a part of the Alter The Press team where each week, she will be writing a weekly blog talking about the best meals she has consumed and letting the world know about her love of food!
My band Veara is up in New Jersey right now recording our new album. Jersey is known for Diners so I definitely had to go and eat at one!
New Jersey is full of diners so choosing a good one to eat at would be tough for someone who is not familiar with all the Diners around. Our producer Dan [Korneff] recommended that we eat at this diner called Saddlebrook Diner down the street from the studio.
Diner menus are full of just about every type of food you can imagine. You can order anything off the menu anytime of day. Diners are also 24 hours. They have everything from breakfast to burgers to sandwiches to steaks to almost anything you want!
A Buffalo Chicken Wrap caught my eye off the menu. It came with regular french fries. I saw that they have Sweet Potato Fries on the menu so I upgraded my fries to the sweet potato ones.
This diner was great! My buffalo chicken wrap had grilled chicken (per my request), buffalo sauce, blue cheese, lettuce, celery, and carrots! The wrap was very tasty. The sweet potato fries were nice and crisp and I made sure to dip them in ketchup.
There's so many more items on the menus at diners that I'd love to try. Hopefully we'll be able to go back to another again so I can possibly give the breakfast a go!
