America's Birthday!!
Woohoo! July 4th is a time to celebrate and to stuff your face full of some awesome BBQ!!
For the 4th my family had one heck of a feast! We ordered Pulled Pork from a local place in town called Sconyers. The Pulled Pork also came with some sauces to try out on it. Also, Sconyers also has Hash. Hash is friggin' awesome and we made sure to have that stuff!
We also ordered some ribs and we got those from Shane's Rib Shack. If you're eating out and want ribs Shane's is one of my top picks! Fall off the bone juicy goodness!! Shane's also included a loaf of Texas Toast. Very good as well!
For some sides my mom made her home-made coleslaw, my Aunt Angie made her home-made Potato Salad and my Aunt Tena made her meat dip! All three of these were so awesome!!
My great Aunt Fran made her Chocolate Wet-Cake and Pound Cake for desserts! I had the wet-cake for my dessert and it was so moist and chocolatey!
Check out this picture of my plate! Of course you know I ate every bit! My favorite thing to do with all this food is kind of mix it up together. For instance; I would take a piece of the Texas Toast, put the Pulled Pork on it, then on top of that put the hash, then on top of that put my Mom's home-made coleslaw and then top that with some BBQ sauce!
I'm glad that the 4th of July is associated with BBQ cause I friggin' love BBQ! One of my favorite meals for sure!!
