ATP! Presents: Brittany Has An Appetite (July 5th, 2012)
Anyone who follows drummer Brittany Harrell (@brittanyharrell) of Georgia's pop-punk outfit, Veara on Twitter would know that her account is comprised of talk about WWE, music and things 99% food related. With that said, we invited Brittany to be a part of the Alter The Press team where each week, she will be writing a weekly blog talking about the best meals she has consumed and letting the world know about her love of food!
If you know me then you know I really enjoy fries! I love plain fries, cheese fries, chili cheese fries, sweet potato fries, gooey fries (haha one of my favorites!), etc.
Well this past Saturday afternoon my family hit up one of our "regular" spots. We went to Longhorn Steakhouse.
Longhorn Steakhouse is a very excellent restaurant. The one here in my hometown is always busy. Ive been to Longhorn a bunch and Ive had almost everything on the menu.
Normally I will almost always get a steak at Longhorn unless I'm in the mood for something else. On this day I was really thinking about cheese fries. Longhorn has a version of this called "Western Cheese Fries" under the appetizer section of their menu. These fries come with crispy fries, all-beef chili, melted cheddar and Monterrey jack cheeses, bacon, and jalapenos.
For some reason I was wanting these "Western Cheese Fries" without the chili. I was thinking about just serious amounts of cheese! So for my meal I ordered the Western Cheese fries without the chili. I also ordered some ranch on the side for dipping.
When the plate of these bad boys came out I was PUMPED! There were so many fries and they were LOADED down with melty cheese, the outside was sprinkled with bacon pieces, and on top were jalapenos. The plate was HUGE and they were all mine!
These things were so daggum delicious! I didn't order extra cheese on them, it just comes with a lot of cheese. It friggin' ruled so much! All that cheese melted on top of those crispy french fries along with the bacon and jalapenos was excellent. Dipping them in the ranch was an excellent idea as well!
If you are ever looking for a place to eat and see a Longhorn Steakhouse stop in a for a good meal! If you want some good ol' cheese fries give these bad boys a go while there. They can be ordered as an appetizer for sharing, or you can upgrade your side to these, or if you want the whole daggum thing to yourself like I did order them as your meal! Ive had them before with the chili and they are great with the chili as well. If you're just feeling down right cheesy like I did this day, order them without the chili and get ready to be in cheesy paradise!!
