ATP! Studio Blog: Cassadee Pope (Part Two)

Last December, Hey Monday broke the news they would be going on a hiatus and since then, vocalist Cassadee Pope has been hard at work on her new solo project. Now, Pope has officially entered the studio and is recording her debut solo EP.

Alter The Press had teamed up with Cassadee, where she will be reporting in with regular blogs and giving fans an update of what is happening from the studio.



Cassadee Pope: Today was the first vocal day! I went into it very nervous because I've been battling this annoying head cold for about a week. But thankfully my voice pulled through, and I'm extremely happy with the way it's all sounding. I finished all lead vocals and harmonies for a song called "Secondhand", and leads for "I Guess We're Cool". I didn't want to push it too far since I've got more to do tomorrow. The songs are coming together so incredibly well! I can't describe how rewarding it is to hear some of my favorite songs I've ever written coming to life. My mom and sister have been in town for the past few days, and they were able to come into the studio today before they had to fly back to West Palm. Seeing their excitement made me even more pumped! On another note, I haven't decided on a release date yet. I want to wait until mixing is halfway done so I have a better idea of when you guys can expect it. I have the cover picture for it already that I think you will all enjoy! I have Hot Topic, Chad Sengstock, and Elle Thornberry to thank for that. :) Well, that's all for now folks!
