ATP! Presents: Brittany Has An Appetite (February 15th, 2012)
Anyone who follows drummer Brittany Harrell (@brittanyharrell) of Georgia's pop-punk outfit, Veara on Twitter would know that her account is comprised of talk about WWE, music and things 99% food related. With that said, we invited Brittany to be a part of the Alter The Press team where each week, she will be writing a weekly blog talking about the best meals she has consumed and letting the world know about her love of food!
This past weekend my band Veara had a one off show in Greensboro, NC. From Augusta, GA up to Greensboro you have to pass through a city in South Carolina called Rockhill. The only reason I like Rockhill is for one place and one place only. They have a Del Taco there!
Del Taco's are really popular out west in the US. There are not many out here on the East Coast. They are expanding though which I am very excited about!
I haven't had Del Taco in well over a year so when I found out we would be passing through Rockhill, SC on the way to the show in Greensboro, NC I was very stoked to get to eat some Del Taco! Not only did I eat it on the way up to the show but I ate it again on the way back home from the show!
Del Taco has a wide variety of burritos, tacos, quesadillas, desserts, and even burgers and fries! I think it's super rad that you can get some tacos and french fries at the same time
For my meal on the way up to the show I got the 1/2 lb Bean and Cheese Burrito w/ Green Sauce, a Chicken Soft Taco and a medium drink
The bean burrito is so awesome! It says on the menu that it's busting at the seems with beans and cheese and let me tell ya...they ain't lying! This burrito is heavy and big. One of things I love most about Del Taco is the amount of cheese they put on their food. It's so much and it's so good! The green sauce on the burrito is always very good. They give you the choice of either red or green sauce and I usually go green when I order. It's tangy and it's got a little kick to it! Very good.
The chicken soft taco was loaded down very nicely too. Chicken, Lettuce, Cheese, and "secret" sauce come on it. I'm not sure what the "secret" sauce is exactly but it tastes close to a ranch sauce. Of course they put a great amount of cheese on it which I love!
As I mentioned I had Del Taco on the way back from the show. I was gonna order something different than the Bean and Cheese burrito that I had the day before but it was just so good that I had to order it again!
I ordered it with the green sauce as usual. It was so flippin' good I knew exactly why I ordered it again!
I switched it up on the taco this time though. I went with their classic soft taco. This taco is double the beef and double the cheese and it has lettuce and tomatoes on it. I opted out on the tomatoes.
The classic taco was great! I put some of their Del Taco hot sauce on it and this thing was very tasty! As you can see in the picture is had plenty of cheese on it. The more cheese the better!
I love me some Del Taco. That's why I had to eat it twice! I should also mention that their prices are fairly cheap. So if you're on a budget this is a very reasonable place to eat that's tasty, satisfying, and will fill you up! I highly recommend the 1/2 lb Bean and Cheese burrito. Make sure to get it with the green sauce!
