MiMi Soya Tour Tracks
The feature sees the three bands pick eight tracks that they find personally essential for life on the road, and briefly explain what each means to them. Next up is MiMi Soya.
The Almost "Say This Sooner"
Simply because the feel of the song is constant and up tempo.
It has a real driving feel behind it and it doesnt change for like the whole song.
Ironically, its great to be driving the van to!
Fort Minor "Remember The Name"
It has a HUGE beat, which obviously im drawn towards! I grew up listening to a lot of hip-hop and r&b, so back to my roots a bit!
More importantly, the name of the track...its what you are doing whilst on the road.
Trying to make people remember you by standing out from the crowd. Does exactly what it says on the tin!
Nicki Minaj 'Moment 4 Life'
I love the entire nicki Minaj album, it's one of my favourites at the moment and this song is my favourite one on the album. I don't know whether it's because I can do the whole rap or because it gives me a bit of a buzz everytime I hear it. Either way it's a must have on tour.
DJ Fresh 'Louder'
What a song! There is definitely a reason its the first drum and bass record to ever reach number 1 in the UK charts. It's an epic tune and I get such good vibes everytime I hear it.
It just makes me want to dance, not that it takes much to get me throwing some shapes on the dance floor!
Whitesnake - Here I go again
What a driving ballad! Such a feel good, empowering song. Always raises the mood when its blasted out the speakers!
Andy Mckee - For my Father
This song is beautiful. Such a technical guitar piece that is played with such control and grace. Perfect for the "Long drive back" after a performance.
D.A.N.C.E. by Justice
This song has a great summer feelgood factor about it which suits the party atmosphere of touring.
Don't Sit Down Coz I Moved Your Chair by Arctic Monkeys
A new song but I love how heavy and swamp rock it is. Definitely play this track a lot on our upcoming tour.
