Alter The Press! Presents: This Love
Despite their young age, This Love have an ambitious yet accessible sound; mixing the stadium sized rock of U2 and 30 Seconds To Mars, and mixing it with the pop sensibilities of Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and Boys Like Girls. Tracks like 'Motions' are cinematic and well-crafted, showing a band that are hungry and capable of producing favorable songs.
For Fans Of: U2, Kings of Leon, and 30 Seconds To Mars
Alter The Press: Why should Alter The Press! readers check you out?
This Love: Y'all should check the new album! It's a fresh sound from us, a young band, This Love. We have been working hard to get our music to the people for awhile now! bringing change to the game, hooks, guitar solos and a great message that needs to be heard! We, as a band, are so excited to get a chance to play music that is heard by the people. We are so thankful that we get a chance to do this everyday!
ATP: What's the story behind the band?
This Love: We're just a couple of kids from Dayton, Ohio, that love to play Rock & Roll. A few members from the once well known pop punk band named Callahan; Jake Sims and Jake Bonham joined up with some other locals boys, Joe McFaddin and Jake Rinehart. Now together as This Love, writing music and loving life is all we know. Nothing entirely too fancy.
ATP: Single highlight as a band so far?
This Love: Our single highlight as a band so far hasn't even technically happened yet. On August 2nd, we will put out our debut full length; "At War". We are so excited for this. We have worked day and night putting this piece of art together and when we finally get to share it with our fans, friends and family, it will quickly become our highlight.
ATP: What are your plans for the 12 months?
This Love: Our plans in the next 12 months consist of releasing the album, shooting three music videos, as well as a couple tours already booked and ready to go. We also plan on spending the off days continuing to promote our new album.
'At War' by This Love is released on August 2nd.
