Descendents Explain 2nd London Show Cancellation
The band said:
""Last night, at our show in London (on the 25th), our singer, Milo, blew his voice out. Although we had rehearsed quite a bit for these shows, Milo's voice proved to not yet be strong enough to handle so many shows in a row without days off. We did our best to continue the show by having Bill, Karl, Stephen, and whoever else was around step in on vocals. We are very disappointed (as we are sure many of you guys are) that we were not able to deliver at 100% capacity last night.
Milo's voice is totally blown-out this morning, so, we have decided to cancel the show tonight (Tuesday, the 26th) at the Shepherd's Bush Empire. We are very sorry about cancelling - it sucks on our end just as much as it does on yours – but it couldn't be helped. Realizing that many people have traveled from far away for these London shows, we would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused by the cancellation. We will, however be playing both the Leeds and Reading festivals, and are looking forward to resuming the quest for all. A very important step in this quest is for Milo to undertake an intensive regime of vocal strengthening. This, combined with scheduling days off every few shows should ensure that another voice "blowout" doesn't happen. Thank you for being there for us (and with us) for so many years."
ALL the best,
Milo, Bill, Karl and Stephen"
