Alter The Press! Presents: With The Punches
With The Punches' sound is very current and has an instant attraction and the bands DIY work ethic is one that is appreciated and is sure to lead the band to bigger things.
Alter The Press: Why should Alter The Press! readers check you out?
With The Punches: We are With The Punches. We are a New York based pop-punk band consisting of nothing but heart, love of music (especially pop-punk) and the drive to get out there and show everyone just what we are made of!
ATP: What's the story behind the band?
WTP: We officially formed in November of 2008. After a few months of grinding on songs at weekly practices we released our first EP "Keep It Going" in January of 2009. With that release out, we quit our jobs and headed out on the road touring the country as much as we possibly could. Two years later, members changed, tons and tons of black clouds followed us all over the place, and yet we still put our all into our latest release "It's Not The End Of The World" releasing March 8th in the US and March 14th in the UK.
ATP: Single highlight as a band so far?
WTP: Getting to open for Every Time I Die and Four Year Strong was pretty awesome. That was one of the best shows we have played to date, as well as the show we played with Streetlight Manifesto and The Wonder Years at The Chance in Poughkeepsie, NY, same place we played with ETID and FYS.
ATP: What are your plans for the 12 months?
WTP: Tour as much as possible. We plan on getting out of the country at least once, if not more before the end of the year, as well as tour the US as much as possible. We are going to be writing as much as we can so that we can release a full-length by December of this year.
'It's Not The End Of The World' by With The Punches is released in the US on March 8th (pre-order here) and in the UK on March 14th through Hang Tight Records (pre-order here.)
