Alter The Press! Presents: I'll Fight With Fire
With a style that mixes the powerpop sound of bands like The Morning Of and Paramore and blend with slight post-hardcore style that is influenced by bands like Emarosa and Sleeping with Sirens. Coincidently the latter's vocalist Kellin Quinn, will be making a guest appearance on I'll Fight With Fire's forthcoming EP.
With an ambitious and intriguing sound, it's definitely worth keeping an eye out for I'll Fight With Fire in the coming months.

Alter The Press: Why should Alter The Press! readers check you out?
I'll Fight With Fire: We are just five friends doing what we love! Our music has such a veriety of influence's we are pretty sure there is no band out there at the moment that sounds quite like us. Our songs are dominated by a strong mix of male and female vocals, with tons of subtle screaming. We know people will find it hard to not compare us to bands like Paramore, but we can asure you we are a whole new breed. It's time a UK progressive rock band with a female lead singer emerged.
ATP: What's the story behind the band?
IFWF: The boys in the band have been friends for years and have preformed together under various names and line-ups. I (Emilie) met the boys when I did some promo shots for them in 2008 we all had similar music tastes and formed a good friendship.
After doing my acoustic stuff online and receiving a really good response and fan base, it made me really want to try it out in a band, rather than just a acoustic performer. I also previously worked as a band/tour photographer, so the lifestyle and environment just appealed to me so much. So it was a good opportunity to to do the two things I love. The boys asked me around christmas time if I was up for giving it a go and trying to write some songs. We had our first practice on Christmas Eve and we haven't looked back!
ATP: Single highlight as a band so far?
IFWF: Sleeping with Sirens vocalist Kellin Quinn agreeing to do guest vocals and work on a song with us, and also getting endorsed by two clothing brands before we even had any music out.
ATP: What are your plans for the 12 months?
IFWF: We are working hard on our tracks for our EP and are heading into the studio in the next few weeks. We really want to just enjoy ourselves, make good friends and do what we love and hopefully land some awesome supporting slots with bands we love and look up to. We also have our first gig in cardiff in April supporting Mike Fantastic with Paige and The Secret Handshake.
