Alter The Press: Why should Alter The Press! readers check you out?
Who's Driving? Bears Driving!: Well it’s definitely not for our looks!! We’re a hard working band who are basically bringing their love for American style pop-punk across the country. We’re basically writing songs about our lives and how things are rather than just sugar coating a bunch of a clichés....although there is a fair few of them in there as well.
ATP: What's the story behind the band?
WDBD: Basically the band started off as Aj [Grand-Scrutton, guitarist] side project and was originally just a creative outlet. Then basically over the first couple of months of writing material it turned into a full time band. We’ve all had a lot of musical interactions together in the past. Grant [Allen, Synth/Vocals], Sykes [Drums] and Tommy [Bass] all played together in a band previously. Scott [Allen, Lead Vocals] had been in a band with Aj about 5 years ago and we all knew Billy [Bromley, guitar] from the local music scene.
ATP: Single highlight as a band so far?
WDBD: Along with our tour last year it has to be having a BBQ with The Wonder Years and then playing a sold out show at a tiny venue together.
ATP: What are your plans for the 12 months?
WDBD: No rest for us this year, we have our new single “If You’re Gonna Dance (Like That)” coming out in March, then a full UK tour with our good friends Underline The Sky throughout April. Then we get back have a few weekenders and then head straight into the studio to work on the follow up to 'There’s No Easy Way To Say This.'
