Alter The Press! Presents: Never A Hero

2011 has started off pretty well for Suffolk Rap Rock/Metal band, Never A Hero. Having received national TV and radio airplay, this past Monday the four-piece played live on the premier episode of the 2011 Red Bull Bedroom Jam.

The mask-wearing group mix alternative rock with rap and occasionally use of electronics. It is a style that has seen comparisons to Linkin Park's earlier work and KoRn.

For Fans Of: Korn, Linkin Park and Enter Shikari.

ATP: What's the story behind the band?
NA:In March of 2009 Never a Hero formed from two different bands, Toby C and KB in one and Daisy and Mickey in another, both our bands split around the same time and it suddenly hit us whilst in a local coffee shop that all 4 us were the only customers all wearing masks ! - what were the chances of that ! So it seemed a natural step to for NaH to be born. Seriously thought, it was all about timing, the 2 bands we were in both had 2 member that wanted it and 2 that didn't, so now we have 4 guys that want it and work hard every day for it.

ATP: Single highlight as a band so far?
NAH: (KB) For me its either the Red Bull Bedroom Jam or our first home town show. The Red Bull Bedroom jam was an amazing experience, the people were great and the live show was so much fun. Our first home town show was packed with 300 plus people and the atmosphere was electrifying - it was a total blast!

(Toby C) I've enjoyed every second of every day with the band so in all honesty the whole experience of playing and being with these guys is a constant highlight.

(Mickey Thin & Daisy Lai) It might sound corny, but when you are on stage or in the studio and you are able to look around and see 3 other amazing musicians, you just think, wow - that guys in my band ! It's a total delight everyday to play with other people who have the same work ethics that you do....playing in NaH is just the best feeling in the world.

ATP: What are your plans for the next 12 months?
NAH: Bigger, better and more extravagant live shows, a UK and European tour later in the year to follow the release of our album.
