Alter The Press: Why should Alter The Press! readers check you out?
Forever Wednesday: Readers should check us out because we're bringing something fresh to the table. We're not just haircuts, or a fad, we're in it for the long run. We want to be everyones new favorite band and we want it to stay that way. Our debut album 'Depths' is going to surprise a lot of people as it toys with so many different genres and deals with issues people can relate too. It's honest and most importantly it's British and true to our roots.
ATP: What's the story behind the band?
FW: We were young, bored of school and shared a passion for the local music scene, so starting a band seemed like a positive thing to do. Eventually previous members left to chase different things but we now have a really strong and committed lineup which we think really shows on our new album. The newest lineup has only been gigging together for about 3 months and were just starting to find our feet again, but more importantly we're having fun again and writing music we genuinely care about and love playing.
ATP: Single highlight as a band so far?
FW: We haven't started touring our new album properly yet so we don't have any crazy tour stories yet, but taking a year out to write and record our album was awesome. It was nice to start again and take our time writing without any pressure. We had a blast in the studio and managed to take some really good footage that will be released in the next few months as a video series. So really were just starting a new chapter for FW and hopefully in a years time we will have a lot more stories to share.
ATP: What are your plans for the 12 months?
FW: The next 12 months for us will involve touring the shit out of anywhere that will have us in support of our upcoming album Depths. We really want to get across to Europe as we heard the shows out there are crazy. We want to take the party out there and play loads of shows. Hopefully we will confirm some festivals for the summer and a few tours so make sure you get out to a show and support your local music scene.
