Alter The Press! Presents: The Definitive
Having grown up playing in various bands in the North West of England, indie rock duo The Definitive made a big decision five years ago by relocating to Los Angeles.However despite the move, The Definitive have musically stuck to their roots, as their style is one that reminiscent of 90's British indie rock music and the duo cite the likes of The Smiths and Joy Division as influences.
Now settled in their new home, The Definitive have released their debut single ' The Start', which features an appearance from Face To Face's Trever Keith, who has been producing for the band as well. With such an honest and true sound, expect to hear more from The Definitive.

The Definitive: Because we're just getting started and following bands & artists form the beginning is always more special than following em later on after they've blown up. Our first single is is on iTunes and we think it's pretty good, we're proud of it and if you like Face to Face, it has Trever Keith on it!
ATP: What's the story behind the band?
The Definitive: The two of us grew up together, went to school and stuff, played tunes in a few bands in the North West of England together, and then came out to LA about 5 years ago to work harder at it; perfect our craft and to aim to do it full-time.
England was a dull, dark, boring & miserable place to grow up, but we still love it and that atmosphere shaped inspiration for our tunes, like it does with most good UK music. We've spent the last year/18 months or so writing, "demo-ing" and then recording an album, and have managed to do it with a couple of really talented friends out here who've been more than helpful to us. So excited by having this music in our hands and getting ready to put it out there and play it.
ATP: Single highlight as a band so far?
The Definitive: Having Trever Keith produce the record & do vocals on the chorus of our first single. We grew up on Face To Face, so for him to be involved is epic for us.
ATP: What are your plans for the 12 months?
The Definitive: Rehearse, start playing live and then sell 3.75 or hopefully 4 million records, get on Saturday Night Live, sell out Cowboys stadium, twice, and win lots of Grammys, all within 12 months.
