Monty Are I Bassist Announces Departure

Monty Are I bassist Mike Matarese has announced he is leaving the band.

"Saturday, April 17th will be my last home show with the band. I have had some amazing experiences and great times for ten years playing with these guys. This has been a tough decision to make because for years, all I have known is the band. It's been a long road and I have had to make a lot of sacrifices along the way, and now I feel as though I need to take my life in a different direction. I would like to thank the band for all the great times, all the fans that supported us, and most importantly all my loved ones for helping me pursue my dreams."

Here's to more than a decade of amazing memories with you, Mike. We know you're going to be doing whatever makes you happy, and that's all we really care about. We're gonna miss ya. (And Sledge, too.)
