Album Review: All Or Nothing/Chaos Days - Split EP

All Or Nothing follow up to the ridiculously good split with The Wonder Years, with another split EP. This time they're teaming up with British label mates Chaos Days.

All Or Nothing kick off proceedings with the always good edgy, pop-punk the band do so well. 'Hate Being The Dip Guy' is instantly enjoyable and one of the bands funnest tracks to date. 'Don't Do This' shows the bands ability to be consistent but at the same time be slightly heavy, as a driving bass and smashing drums dominate.

Brighton's Chaos Days go down the more melodic route, as 'You And I' is a catchy and favourable track that you will get addicted to quickly. Whereas 'At Heaven's Gates' shows the bands more fierce and slightly faster sound, which is impressive and is complimented by the calm, melodic vocals.

All Aboard Records are on to a good thing as this split EP shows several things. The first is that British pop-punk music is as good and strong as it has ever been. The second being both All Or Nothing and Chaos Days, know how to write a good song that you will listen to again and again. If you're not a fan of either band already, this is definitely a worthwhile way of discovering 2 of the best upcoming British bands right now. I will definitely be keeping in an ear out for both bands in 2010.
