Album Review: Hearts Under Fire - Demo 2009

The all-female Surrey-based 5-piece, Hearts Under Fire return after a break and extra member. Previously they had played shows along side the likes of You me At Six and Get Cape Wear Cape Fly. However the girls go down a different road to them with these demos.

These 2 songs here are full of energy and talent, along with punk rock edge that makes for a good healthy combination. 'Chapter One' chuggs along at nice pace, mixing punk rock guitars with melodic vocals from Sian Sanderson. Whilst 'No Love No Light' is a fast-paced upbeat number, that keeps up the momentum.

Hearts Under Fire show a lot of punch and talent in this showing. In addition to this, they have plenty of space to grow and build on what they already have.
