The split was caused as business relations soured due to inter- label troubles and issues with moving ahead on their album.

Vocalist Lang Freeman said: "When we finally decided to sign with Epic, the agreed plan was for the band to spend most of our time on the road touring, building on our previous successes...however at every corner...roadblocks were being built and wrenches were being thrown into this plan."
